Women Guardians Backpacking Adventure
Join your fellow women guardians on a rejuvenating and educational two-day, one-night, beginner-friendly backpacking adventure in Harriman State Park.

Family Baseball Night
We’re welcoming you & your family back to the ballpark this summer to enjoy Hudson Valley Renegades baseball games at their home in Heritage Financial Park. As the High-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, the Renegades provide local baseball fans with great games. This Guardian Homefront event is for family members & their guardians (kids welcome!).

Blood Drive
Donate blood and save lives at the Patterson Rotary Club’s Blood Drive on Saturday, May 17 from 10 AM – 4 PM at the Hudson Valley InterArts Center in Patterson. Most people qualify — sign up for a spot now!

Couples Retreat at The Equus Effect

Catskills Basecamping Trip
Join Another Summit on a slow-paced, relaxing 3-day, 2-night basecamp-style backpacking trip in the Catskills over May 2nd - 4th.

We’re honored to welcome back to the stage Vietnam Veteran and Silver Star recipient Karl Rohde for his one-man, one-act play, written based on his experience 'in theater' in Vietnam: "With No Name On The Marquee." Originally performed on Vietnam Veterans Day in 2023 for the 50th anniversary of the last US combat troops departing Vietnam on March 29, 1973. As Karl says, “For many of us, we are still there.”

A short 0.8 mile hike led by Kenny Constantinides, a former firefighter and veteran who lives in Kailua, this is one of our new Guardian Revival Hawaii events. Reap the benefits of nature, exercise, and camaraderie.

Pine Swamp Loop
Join our outdoor leaders on a scenic 3.1-mile hike on the Pine Swamp Mountain Loop in Harriman State Park, NY.
DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)

Mindfulness Walk | Bear Mountain
Join outdoor leaders Leslie and Lauren on a peaceful mindfulness walk along a paved 1.4-mile loop around historic Hessian Lake in Bear Mountain State Park. A rocky outcrop provides the perfect spot to admire the beautiful scenery, such as the tranquil lake and views of the surrounding hills. DIFFICULTY: 🟪 Purple (easiest)

Training: Assisting Individuals in Crisis (AIC)
Learn the skills to recognize and assist someone who may be experiencing a mental health crisis. This session is not just informative — it’s practical, and it will empower you to be a source of help & hope and is valuable for anyone working in mental health and suicide prevention. Guardian Revival organizes training sessions for our team — and we’re opening this one up to first responders and military!

Ukulele Jam Session
In partnership with The Kanikapila Project and hosted by a music teacher, our jam sessions are outlets for guardians to explore & enjoy Hawaii’s favorite instrument, the ukulele! We have 10 ukuleles to let you use during the event, but please bring your own if you have one. Guardians of any skill level are welcome to join! No prior music experience necessary.

Frozen Waterfall Hike
Join our outdoor leaders for a winter hike to remember! This 3.9-mile hike through scenic Platte Clove Preserve in the Catskills checks all the boxes for an enjoyable winter hike, and is home to old bluestone quarries, great views and at this time of year, frozen waterfalls! After our hike we will take some time to explore a local Catskills town. DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)

Beach Volleyball
Come to Kailua Beach to play beach volleyball and lunch. We will have a court set up for volleyball as well as some other beach games. Meet other guardians, bring the family, and enjoy one of the most beautiful beaches on island. We will have free drinks and lunch provided. Community, exercise, and outdoors is important, and we’re excited to gives guardian on-island a family event to enjoy the beach.

Mindfulness Walk | Pelton Pond
Join outdoor leaders Leslie and Lauren on a peaceful 1-mile mindfulness walk through the scenic woods of Pelton Pond in Fahnestock State Park. Our walk will end at the pavilion, where we will warm up with a campfire and hot cocoa, and a mindful practice of releasing something into the fire which we either hope for or want to let go of. DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

2025 Transit Equity Day Walk
Celebrate Transit Equity Day a little early with Another Summit on a transit-accessible walk through the quaint village of Cold Spring, NY — one of the best portals to the outdoors that's accessible from NYC using public transit only, no car needed! This outing highlights the importance of equitable access to transportation and nature for all communities, including guardians and their families. DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

Winter Birding
Explore the serene beauty of the outdoors while learning the art of birding on a 1.8-mile walk along the Stonykill Sierra Trail. This beginner-friendly outing will cover methods for finding and identifying birds using binoculars, ID books and tech. Space is limited. All materials (ID books, binoculars) will be available to borrow. DIFFICULTY: 🟦 Blue (easy)

DIY (Fire) Tinder Making Workshop
Join Another Summit for an afternoon of DIY fun as we learn to make effective, easy to carry tinders for your 10 Essentials fire kit. The ability to quickly start a fire can be a life saver in a survival situation. We will learn to make several types of DIY "quick tinders" that you can keep and easily recreate at home. Aside from making quick tinders, we will also work on fero rod striking technique. All materials will be provided. Please note children are welcome but must be supervised by a parent. DIFFICULTY: 🟪 Purple (easiest)

Join our outdoor leaders Dawn and Bill for a 3.3-mile loop hike through the peaceful woods of Fahnestock State Park. DIFFICULTY: 🟩 Green (moderate)

Women Veterans Recognition Brunch
Join us for a special opportunity to recognize & celebrate local women veterans and gain insights into their remarkable history, service, and experiences — in the military and beyond. Brunch to be provided by Ledley Catering as we hear from wonderful women veterans from our local community.
